(updated 3.19.12 again) I really liked the old layout, and who knows maybe I'll go back to it. But for now, I think I'll stick with this one. I decided to try this one because it can be organized differently per viewer preferences by clicking on the area where it says magazine. I personally like the classic, flipcard, magazine and sidebar views the best. I chose to re-update it because though I liked the flipcard layout, it only showed titles and pictures if the post has pics, whereas the magazine layout allows for the pics and titles but the first few lines/paragraphs of the post. The classic post was another I liked, but it would require scrolling down or clicking on a label to find a specific title or type of post. Sidebar would have been by first choice, today, if the flower background could be seen a little more.
To the far right is where you can access labels, archives, etc. Simply move the mouse over it and click the desired link when it expands.
Overall, I am pretty happy with the new blog look and the features it offers.
Also new this week: I am finally taking the plunge into more technology! Not only have I updated this blog, but I've also created a facebook page for this blog, see it here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Im-still-planting-for-tomorrow/107372519394075 and I've created some pinterest boards to show things I like here: https://pinterest.com/plant4tomorrow/
This picture is of the Angel Oak tree near Charleston, SC. It is huge! and old!! It is estimated to be around 300-400 years old, it shades a whopping 17,000 square feet. Why do I share this--besides the fact that it is cool? 1. It is free to see this amazing tree (if you are in the Charleston area it is worth seeing--free site seeing yeah!) 2. It has withstood some amazing things--weather, war, time; all of which can cause a person to lose hope and stop preparing for the future, but like my blog title name I chose it because it reminds me that we can still prepare for the future with hope. 3. Like my new look for this blog, the outside changes some but not so much it is unrecognizable and doesn't contain the same innards. Hopefully that makes sense.
And just one more thought for today: Smile! Smiling helps make a difference inside and out of both the person giving it and the one receiving it.
