Taste Test Tuesday: Corn Dogs

This is a quick and easy meal for lunch or dinner.  You can use boxed corn bread mix or homemade.  In the recipe above I’ve included the corn bread recipe that I shared on this post, that works well using wheat flour.  To make the buttermilk:  take a measuring cup and add some lemon juice to it (just enough to fill the bottom), then fill the rest of it with milk, either store bought or homemade:), let it sit for a couple of minutes.
Other notes:  the corn bread tends to stick to the sandwich maker, so be sure to grease it liberally before using.  The amounts of the mix mentioned are approximates, based on what I think I use when the mix doesn’t ooze out.  This recipe is also good without the hotdogs and with butter/honey--mmm.
