When I was thinking about titles/themes for posts on my blog, one was Milky May (and now Milky Monday), as stated before I love alliterations--perhaps too much! Anyway, I originally thought that in May I would share lots (well as much as I know) about dry milk. Things like: how to use it (recipes!), what it is, how to store it, etc. But, as I was thinking and preparing for a food storage class/moment for RS, I started to prepare a handout on milk, and well, rather than wait until May to share it and any recipes that use dry milk, I thought I'd start Milky May early with Milky Monday instead.
I've already shared a few recipes that use dry milk (search dry milk label for these), and will be sharing more in the future, either on Taste Test Tuesdays or on Milky Mondays. So here is a very basic handout on dry milk. This one doesn't include any recipes, just brief information on dry milk and its uses, with a few websites that share recipes that use dry milk.
It's true that I never know how to use my dry milk until we have no milk and it's morning and the kids want cereal. That seems to be the only time I use it! But it would be nice to have some more knowledge on it and such. Great post!
